Everett G. Diederiks, Jr. received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1984 from Manhattan College where he was inducted into the Mechanical Engineering Honor Society. After serving as a Patent Examiner in the United States Patent and Trademark Office for over four years, Mr. Diederiks became a registered patent agent and law clerk at a Washington, D.C. area firm where he remained as an associate after obtaining his Juris Doctorate from George Mason University and becoming licensed to practice law in Virginia in 1992. He established a law firm bearing his name in 1996 which developed into the firm of Diederiks & Whitelaw, PLC. His practice focuses on client relations, case management, preparing & prosecuting domestic and worldwide patent applications in the mechanical, electro-mechanical and food fields, patent infringement and validity analyses and patent litigation, as well as trademark and copyright preparation and prosecution. Mr. Diederiks has been lead counsel in patent matters before various Federal District Courts, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
